Nestled in the heart of San Francisco at 370 Grove Street, Om Sabor is a vibrant vegan restaurant that has quickly become a must-visit destination for plant-based food lovers and curious diners alike. This innovative eatery masterfully blends bold flavors from across cultures into an entirely plant-powered menu, celebrating the rich textures and colors of vegan cuisine while keeping every bite exciting and satisfying.
Om Sabor’s menu is a treasure trove of vegan delights, featuring standout dishes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. From the delicate and aromatic Hibiscus Tacos and the zesty Korean BBQ Tacos to the indulgent Carne Asada Nachos, every plate bursts with vibrant, carefully curated ingredients. The Al Pastor Tacos, marinated in achiote and served on a La Palma tortilla, showcase a depth of flavor that elevates soy wheat protein to gourmet heights. For those craving comforting bites, the Clam Chowder reimagined with oyster mushrooms, crispy crimini “bacon,” and a smoky cashew cream béchamel is a heartwarming must-try, garnering praise for its richness and complexity.
Among the share plates and lunch bites, the Flautas stand out for their crispy corn shells packed with chile colorado-infused jackfruit and potatoes, perfectly balanced with fresh cabbage and tangy pickled onions—gluten, soy, and nut-free, making them an inclusive, flavor-packed option. The Ceviche Tostadas and Channa Masala Empanadas bring global influences to the table, offering layers of spice and texture that keep every visit interesting.
Dessert lovers need not feel left out here. The Blueberry Wine Cheesecake tantalizes with creamy, fruity richness, while the Neapolitan Cake and Truffle Fries provide savory-to-sweet contrast to round out the meal. The thoughtfully crafted cocktails, particularly the Spicy Margarita, perfectly complement the bold flavors of the menu, adding a refreshing, spirited dimension to the dining experience.
The ambiance at Om Sabor strikes the ideal balance between cool and inviting, with chill background beats that set a relaxed but upbeat mood. Feedback from patrons like Gabriel Moreno highlights the restaurant’s “very cool vibe” and exceptional service, which warmly welcomes guests and enhances the overall experience. While some have noted dim lighting in certain areas, the lively atmosphere and attentive staff make every meal feel special and personalized.
Om Sabor is not just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of what vegan cuisine can be: flavorful, diverse, and exciting. Whether you’re stopping by for their popular Taco Tuesday or indulging in market-ready tamales packed with ancho chile and soy wheat steak, you’re guaranteed a meal that delights the senses and satisfies cravings without compromise. The dedication to carefully prepared dishes paired with genuine hospitality makes Om Sabor a standout in San Francisco’s plant-based dining scene, promising a rewarding experience for both longtime vegans and newcomers alike.
The flautas, crab cakes, and chowder were exceptionally delicious, some of the best vegan food I have ever had. (Chowder was the best of all time but a decently small bowl) However, the "tres leches" unfortunately did not live up to its name. It was rather dry and dense, and the only "leche" present was a bit of whipped cream. I would kindly suggest either changing the name to an almond dry cake or removing it from the menu completely. It was, regrettably, one of the least enjoyable desserts I have ever tasted and a sad ending to my otherwise wonderful meal.
An overall great experience at Om Sabor. Recently visited on a Tuesday night/taco Tuesday to celebrate a birthday. A very cool vibe/ambience throughout the entire place with some cool chill beats in the background. We had overall great service upon ordering a variety of dishes/appetizers – entrée – dessert. 100% plant-based/vegan food was amazing, with beautiful presentation, texture, flavor, and portions. We were fortunate enough to meet the chef, Chef Luis, very cool, down to earth, generous, humble, positive vibes, and made us feel right at home along with the staff.. Looking forward to returning soon for another great experience, and enjoy some live entertainment/DJs/more amazing food, and some cool vibes. The name -Om Sabor speaks for itself. Namaste
Absolutely delicious and wonderful service. I love that this restaurant is entirely vegan.
Vegan / Veg / Vegetarian review : We went the restaurant a few weeks after its opening - on my birthday and I absolutely loveed it Loved the service and especially loved the ambience a lot. (avoid sitting in the dark room, it’s not that fun) Ordered the 1. Hibiscus Tacos (3/5): Friends loved it, I didn’t. 2. Spicy Margarita (5/5): Can’t recall the name but it was amazing 3. Chicken/Soy Teriyaki Skewers (5/5): Absolutely loved this dish. 4. Chicken Paella (4.5/5): It was really unexpectedly tasty given its appearance. It had less chicken though :/ 5. Sweet potato fritters (4.5/5): Not sure but there were three flat sweet potato things which I loved! The only issue is that it’s a bit pricy for the portion size. But it’s a great date place and a great vegan restaurant
Came here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed my time here! The staff had exceptional service. Not only were they warm and welcoming, but they nailed down their food! Definitely coming back here to try more of their delectable vegan dishes :D
Super tasty food, but honestly was really crowded and felt understaffed. Our waitress was nice but we didn’t realize or were told it was open seating and the staff inside were kind of dismissive. Heres my take on the food: Truffle mac and cheese actually felt like it was missing a lot of flavor, i personally wouldnt get it again Nachos- so so delicious. the mexican cheese and pico were so tasty Apple pie- Literally the BEST apple dessert ive ever had. Has a custard filling and smoked caramel on the apples was absolutely delicious.
Om Sabor was an incredible plant-based dining experience that left my heart feeling happy and taste buds extremely satisfied. They offer open seating in their bar area, back room, and even outside. Once seated, our waiter came over to give us all the menus including their weekday happy hour (17:00 - 19:00), mains, and drinks. We started with their Carne Asada Tacos and Ceviche Tostadas from the happy hour menu. Both were phenomenal. The ceviche was fresh on top of crispy corn tortilla and the mock carne asada was flavorful that you really couldn't tell it apart from the meat version. For our mains, we shared a few items for the table including the Carne Asada Nachos, Oyster Mushroom Calamari (HIT!), Crispy Mushroom Potato Gratin (heavenly), and their Teriyaki Chicken Skewers. Every single item we had was delicious, well executed, and surprisingly very filling which was good since the pricing is higher being in the city. I would go back for anything mushroom related especially that calamari - one of my favorite crispy mushroom dishes. We had a fantastic experience and I am eager to return to try more of their dishes and drinks.
